The photo collages have emerged from existing photographs, found objects, and the Gestalten, evolving through an ongoing process of recombination, re-contextualization, and transformation. Each artwork — whether a photograph, painting, drawing, or sculpture — can be viewed as a singular snapshot within a larger process. Central to Dauber's practice is the reenactment of transformation processes and the deliberate absence of hierarchy among individual works. Each piece serves as a new starting point for further creations, forming an ever-expanding chain of recurrence and metamorphosis. There is no definitive final product, only a sequence of intermediate states that must inevitably be paused or concluded at some point. What remains draws attention to the fragility, ephemerality, and transience inherent in art.
